THE TEAM
The Conscious Club is a team of diverse Ōtautahi based wahine who give a damn about the planet we live in and came together to advocate for ethical and sustainable living!

SELINA FAIMALO / OPERATIONS & ENGAGEMENT
Selina is the logistics of the group; loves putting together our events. She also runs a creative social enterprise called Bee Weave, using weaving as a tool for artworks and donating 10% of sales to a charity working towards saving the bees. Selina wears many hats she also is member of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Christchurch Hub, a Trustee of SALT District Collective as well as working as an Advisor at Ara Institute of Canterbury.
Selina is outgoing, enthusiastic and driven for change around social and environmental issues we face in today’s society. As a UK Born Samoan, Selina is passionate about her roots and engaging with the Polynesian community in Aotearoa.



KOPHIE HULSBOSCH / SUSTAINABILITY ADVISOR & GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Kophie works on many creative projects usually with an environmental or political motivation.
She has a First Class Honours in Bachelor of Media Arts. Currently She is working on her sustainable streetwear brand Future Apparel that uses waste and by products
of fast fashion to create new commodities. She also works full time as well as freelance designer, illustrator and artist.
Aside from art and design she loves to explore Aotearoa, practice yoga and drink coffee.

PIP CURRIE / SHOP MANAGER
Pip is in charge of all things shop related, our little retail whizz and appointed Conscious Club Nana!
Pip is completely obsessed with all things knitting, crochet and fibre related, and is rarely seen without her needles or hook.She loves the joy you get from making and creating with your own two hands, the wonder of natural fibres, and the amazing feeling of wearing something handmade.



LUCINDA FERGUSON / CREATIVE CO-ORDINATOR
Lucy is the friendly face of The Conscious Club, she shares the love and engages with people at our events as well as on our social media!
Lucy is a busy bee, she works full time as a primary school teacher and also
runs her online thrift store. Lucy is passionate about women’s rights and also about the slow fashion movement!
She believes in buying quality items for longevity, fair wages & reducing our footprint. East End Thrift aims to bring curated vintage threads that don't cost the earth. All items are styled
seamlessly & shot in unique locations around Christchurch.



PAST MEMBERS

The Conscious Club was founded in June 2019 by Hannah Smith, Ruby Reedy-Land, Tess Boyce, Lucinda Ferguson & Selina Faimalo. Hannah, Tess & Ruby are legends in the thrift community.
These beautiful ladies all went on to pursue their own
ventures and commitments.
